Missions at Cornerstone

At Cornerstone, we not only support North American and International Missionaries through Annie Armstrong and Lottie Moon missions offerings, we also participate in local, national, and international mission trips and activities regularly.

Operation Inasmuch is a local missions day, usually in April, when we send out dozens of people into the local community to help people outside our church family.  Previous projects have included yard work, food preparation and delivery for those in need, visiting and singing with nursing home residents, bottled water distribution on jogging trails, local public playground festivities for children, free oil changes for single moms, and more. We have something for all ages to help in and have new projects every year!

Women on Mission help provide meals and other needs for local community members.  They also collect food for the food pantry, blankets for the needy, supplies for Shepherd's House, and many other mission projects.

Baptist Men cut firewood, do yardwork, construct wheelchair ramps and do various home repairs for the elderly in our community.

AWANA Clubs support local AWANA missionaries as well as local charities that support our community. In the past, they have sent cards to soldiers, collected and organized "Birthday Bags" for the food pantry, and provided supplies for Blessing Boxes in our area.

Youth and Children's Programs are involved in service projects that encourage them to serve others while sharing the love of Jesus. Our youth have gone on many trips in the past including M-Fuge (6th-12th grade), Centrikid (2nd-6th grade), and other, more local, missions. The past few years, we have been mostly involved in hurricane relief in Lumberton, NC and have had a ton of fun. You can visit our Student ministries page to stay up to date on upcoming youth missions.

Blessing boxes are placed at the front of our church and items inside are available to anyone in need. If you are able, contributions to the blessing boxes would be greatly appreciated. Non-perishable items will always be available in our boxes and we are in the process of making hygeine items more available as well.
